Course objectives

 Junior Diploma in Montessori Method of Education is a basic teacher training course in the core subjects of Montessori Curriculum. The training is designed to provide its trainees:

•A basic knowledge in Montessori Philosophy & Theory

•A thorough grounding in the core subjects of the Montessori Curriculum

•A basic understanding of child development

•An appreciation and understanding of the teaching aids developed by Dr. Maria Montessori

•A knowledge of Montessori environment and the role of a Montessori directress/ director/ teacher

•General knowledge on essential aspects of ECED

Awards & Course Work

In order to obtain the Junior Diploma award, trainees are required to meet the following criteria:

1. The trainees must attend practical classes.

2. They must attend seminars regularly with min 95% attendance in each subject.

3. They must complete and pass all the course work and assignments and pass written & Practical examinations.

Entry qualification    : SLC (or its equivalent)

Minimum Age             :  17 Years

Duration of course    : 2 ½  –  3months

Course materials       : Upon the acceptance on to the course, students are provided 5 subjects booklets, a book and a phonics CD .

Method of study        : 3-5 days a week (depending on subjects)

CAREER PROSPECTS

Junior Diploma in Montessori Method of Education gives the trainees a good head start to pursue a career in the areas of early childhood education. It qualifies the trainees to work as the teachers of children between 2 to 6 years in two core subjects of Montessori (Practical Life Exercise & Sensorial Education). It also qualifies the trainees to teach Montessori Language & Phonics, mathematics & cultural subjects to the children between 2-3 to 5 years.

About the course

Diploma in Montessori method of education is an intensive and professional early childhood education teacher training course, on Montessori method and curriculum. Course Objective

These short courses are organized with aims of giving teachers, parents & social workers who are involved working with young children a better understanding of the child developmental psychology, care and education.  It provides practical tips in how to teach children math, reading skills, language etc. for those who are interested please call us to have your name on our mailing list (submit your interest).

Preschool Management Trainings: These are short courses designed to meet the need of professionals like preschool co-ordinators and principals who are interested to up- date or polish and refresh their knowledge and skills as school managers.
